The children’s village The village des enfants (“children’s village”) is a nursery and daycare centre that welcomes children aged from 6 months to 10 years’ old. Located on the site of an entirely renovated former farm, it is able to accommodate up to around 65 children. Set apart from the floods of skiers, but connected to the main area by a ski run, the “Children’s Village” provides a high level of safety and a pleasant setting in the heart of the Esserts forest.   Contact : Le village des enfants Les Esserts - 74440 Morillon 04 50 90 72 15 villagedesenfants-morillon@orange.fr   Services   Nursery - Daycare centre Initiation to skiing for children aged 3 to 6.  Transfer to skiing lessons for non-beginners according to staff availability; put in a request beforehand to the daycare centre manager. Please note, we do not provide accompaniment to the morning session for lessons held on the Massif. Parents need to accompany their children to the lesson meeting point (next to the Esserts chairlift). Meals service, outside games area, a variety of games inside.   Opening hours Opening hours vary over the course of the season, based on the operating hours of the Grand Massif mechanical lifts. The morning sessions always end at 12:30pm. Afternoon sessions always begin at 1:30pm. Location   The “Children’s Village” is located at Morillon 1100, just below the cable-car arrival station (at around 300m). It is located in the centre of the nursery slopes, which means that the introduction to skiing area is right next to the daycare centre. The zone is protected by safety nets and is served by two rope tows. It is accessible on foot for resort residents and by cable car or car for those staying at Morillon village. For children above the age of 5 and carers staying in the village, you will need to obtain a cable-car ticket if you do not have a ski lift pass. Free for children under 5 upon presentation of written proof of age. Passes are only reimbursed in the event of a child falling ill and where a medical certificate is presented. It is recommended that you book by post as early as possible. What do your children need to bring? No vaccination certificate is required for your children.
